Once Upon a Time (How We Met) ♥

Alex and I met quite a few times in passing, at parties, neighbors apartments, and around school.  I didn't officially meet him until one night when I went to go hang out with my neighbors.  He didn't really try talking to me since I had a boyfriend and he had just broken up with his girlfriend.  But then I asked him (in my laryngitis voice) "what are you working on?"  He had been sitting in a chair the whole time working on some research paper.   But when he looked at me and actually spoke to me for the first time he told me all about the paper he was doing research on for his psychology class.  It was about Sigmund Freud and his background during his research.  I at one point was a psych major so I knew a little bit about what he was talking about.
So we started talking (well I attempted to talk) about the subject.  I felt like only him and I were in the room.  It was insane how easy it was to talk to him.  I also think he was impressed that I knew so much about what he was talking about.  After that night we didn't really talk much.  But then I decided to send him a friend request on facebook.  Just because he was best friends with my neighbors who I hung out a lot with.  Soon after he accepted me he sent me this message...

But I was totally thinking that you added me as a friend when I saw the friend request. I was like this has gotta be Rebecca. Do not ask me why I thought that because I have no idea how I knew. I am pretty awestruck and I wanted you to share my surprise...
Maybe theres some psychological explanation behind it???

Haha...wow you are creepy. lol jk jk! no I just figured since we know each other now and we never were properly introduced that i would become "facebook" official friends with you. You are a really nice guy and really cool to talk too. Hope you have a good week and weekend too 

At the time I was still in a relationship with my ex.  So Alex and I really did not talk at all.  I ended up going to PA for Thanksgiving with my boyfriend at the time.  It was miserable.  We started fighting a lot and I was never happy.  He ended up screaming and cursing at me in front of his parents over the game Pictionary because I couldn't guess what he was drawing. It was silly and dumb and I wasn't happy.  The day after we went to a poker thing for his family and him.  Everyone was drinking and I just sat there to the side because I wasn't apart of it.  Then I got a facebook message sent to my phone from Alex.  It read... November 26, 2011...

I didnt have your number so I couldnt text you Happy Thanksgiving the other day and felt just terribly awful about it. So i thought the best way to do this was a two day late notifier so here it is. Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that you are having a wonderful break and continue to not whisper due to your "illness" anymore haha.

This was his clever way of asking for my number.  So I sent him a message back giving him my phone number.  I am so thankful that I did.  Because I spent the rest of the night texting him. We started texting every day and hanging out a ton! Soon mine and my ex's relationship fell apart which I new was going to happen.  We texted all through Christmas break he came to see me at one point to take me to dinner and a movie.  It was soo sweet!

A few more days passed and then I decided to go visit his family.  It was one or two days after Christmas...so his older sister Emily was there with her fiance Brian.  His brother Dan and his wife Sarah was there with their daughter Olivia (CUTEST BABY EVER!) His twin brother Andrew was also there plus his parents.  So I met the family and we weren't even a couple yet.  So the day that I decide to come to visit is family picture day.  The photographer and his Mom wanted to get pictures of us! It was crazy!

Then of course break ended and we went back to school...where we spent every moment we could together.  But we still weren't "official" except in our own way.  Then my parents came up to eat dinner with me and Alex was invited.  After he officially met the parents and talked to them he asked me to be his girlfriend. This happened on January 29, 2012.

As you can see...we were happy! :)

That is the story on how we came to be.  Many exciting and wonderful things happened after that.  I will be posting pictures and events that have happened with us so far and will be updating as they happen. :)
